Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your AI assistant to Let's Do and work with your team's to-dos from a chat. Ask what's overdue, get a summary of last week or turn meeting notes into to-dos for the right people.

What you can ask

Talk to it like you would to a colleague. A few examples:

  • "What's on my plate this week?"
  • "What's overdue in #marketing?"
  • "Summarize what the team got done last month."
  • "Turn these meeting notes into to-dos and assign them to the right people."
  • "Move the pricing page to next Wednesday and assign it to Sara."
  • "Mark the invoices to-do as done."

When you ask for several new to-dos at once, the assistant is asked to show you the list with channels, assignees and due dates before creating anything. Claude and ChatGPT usually ask you before running an action that changes something. A to-do can have up to 10 assignees.

Everything shows up in Slack like any other to-do. Assignees get the usual message and the channel list updates.

The address to add

Both Claude and ChatGPT ask for this address when you add Let's Do:

https://www.letsdo.io/mcp

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize and then Connectors.
  2. Click + Add and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Let's Do, paste the address above and click Add.
  4. When Claude asks, sign in with Slack and allow access.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings and Connectors. Everyone then connects it with their own Slack account.

In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http letsdo https://www.letsdo.io/mcp and then /mcp to sign in.

More details in Anthropic's guide to custom connectors.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings and find the section for apps and connectors.
  2. Add a custom app or connector. Paste the address above and choose OAuth as the sign-in method.
  3. Sign in with Slack and allow access.

OpenAI changes these menus quite often and custom apps aren't available on every ChatGPT plan. On Business and Enterprise plans, an admin may need to allow them first. OpenAI's help article has the current steps.

What the assistant can see

The assistant sees what you can see in Slack:

  • To-do lists in the channels you're in or can open, plus your own personal list
  • No to-dos from direct messages or group DMs
  • No channels shared with another Slack workspace, for now

Anyone can get a summary of their own work. Numbers per person for the whole team are only shown to the person who installed Let's Do, like on the website.

The assistant can create, edit, complete and reopen to-dos. It can't delete them. New to-dos count toward your plan like any others.

Disconnecting

You can see and disconnect your assistants at any time on Connected apps.

The owner of your Let's Do account can turn off AI assistants for the whole workspace under AI features on the account page. That disconnects every assistant and stops anyone from connecting a new one. Removing Let's Do from Slack does the same.
